How does local recording work?
Unlike Zoom or Google Meet, Airtape records each participant's audio and video directly on their own device. This means the quality is always studio-grade, regardless of anyone's internet connection.
What happens if my internet disconnects during a session?
Since the recording happens locally on your computer, a temporary internet drop won't affect the quality of your final track. As soon as your connection is back, Airtape resumes syncing the data to the cloud.
Do I get separate tracks for everyone?
Yes! After your session, you'll receive separate, high-quality WAV (audio) and WebM (video) tracks for every participant, making editing in your favorite DAW a breeze.
What is Airtape Solo?
Airtape Solo is a solo recording feature for screen captures with your webcam bubble. Perfect for product demos, tutorials, and walkthroughs. You can resize and position your camera bubble anywhere on screen, and share the final recording with a public link.
How do I share my recordings publicly?
Once your recording is processed, you can generate a secure public share link with one click. This creates a unique URL that anyone can use to view your recording - perfect for sharing with clients, team members, or your audience.
Can I use Airtape for free?
Yes. The Free plan includes two recording hours per month, up to two participants per recording, local separate tracks, and seven days of file retention. You can upgrade whenever your production schedule grows.
Does my guest need to install anything?
No. Airtape works entirely in the browser (Chrome, Edge, Brave). Your guests just need to click the link you send them, and they're in - no accounts or downloads required.
